This Photo Safari will occur in or around Cedar City, Utah on June 14th 2015. It will be free of any charges by myself. This is your invite to join me in my adventure. You will be responsible for any costs incurred for your own needs. Come along if you like. I will be Photographing the Milky Way late at night well after dark at a location I am currently researching.
I was going to make this Safari closer to Vegas but due to conditions beyond my control, locations that would have been suitable will not be available...
I will notify you in a post here and on the Nevada Camera Club site of where we will meet and at what time. Be advised that meeting place will be in the afternoon on this date in Cedar City.
We will meet in Cedar City Utah, June 14th, 2015 at 12:00 noon, at the Frontier Homestead State Park Museum 635 N Main St, Cedar City, UT 84721.... this park offers an outstanding opportunity to Photograph pioneer artifacts, such as a pioneer cabin, and 100 year old loom, wagons and wagon wheels, old vehicles, and literally tons more stuff!
12:00pm to 3:30 pm - Spend the afternoon in the Pioneer Homestead Museum... admission to this park is an exceptionally reasonable $3.00 and is Photographer Friendly... I've been here before. You will be on your own here and free to explore.
3:30 to 4:30 - Grab a bite to eat... once again on your own there are several places close by to grab something or bring your own. It's completely up to you.
4:45 - I will head up the Utah 14 towards Duck Creek Ut. We will meet at approx 5:15 pm at the Duck Creek Visitor Center.
From here we will spend the rest of the evening well into the night photographing the night skies. In case of too much cloud cover I will be light painting.
